VDO's Brass Temperature Sender. Sold each
Sender has a 14x1.5mm threaded end and has a connection for a 1/4" female terminal electrical connector.
The temperature sending unit can be threaded into the stock VW sump drain plate so you can monitor the temperature of the engine oil.
The VDO temperature sender reads to a maximum of 300 degrees Fahrenheit.
The threads on the sending unit are tapered so thread sealant is not required or recommended as it will impair the unit's ability to provide a proper reading to the gauge.
The sending unit sends a resisted ground signal of 322-18 ohms for the readout of 120F/50C to 300F/150C.
