How has ISP helped you with your Type 3?

"Parts of course, we’ve been able to find everything we need since we got ours and all our other cars."

How long have you owned your Type 3?

"Had been looking for a Notch for quite awhile and found ours in Taft California 9 years ago.  It was a shade of sea blue and the paint was sticky, not dry.  It had power one-piece windows, off road racing seats and homemade door panels.  After we stripped the paint and repainted the car it was time to search for all the correct parts.  That was the most fun searching for everything.  We found parts in Greece, France, England, Germany and of course ISP West."

How would you describe your Type 3?

"Driver, race car, show car, no trailer queen here."

What's the furthest place you've traveled to in your Type 3?

"We met up with the Treffen cruise in Ventura on Friday, did the show in Oxnard Saturday and got best of show, which completely shocked me, then cruised to Orange County, then Sunday drove to the Mexican boarder. We drive it a lot to San Diego for shows with our friends down there."

What's the next thing you'd like to do to your Type 3?

"Having a set of Weber DCNF’s being rebuilt for it, when done, installing them to hopefully make the car a little faster."

Have you owned more than one Type 3? Do you currently own more than one Type 3?

"We currently have 5 total: 1964 Type 34, 1968 Squareback, 1967 Squareback and Fastback, and this 1963 Notch."

What's the best part about owning a Type 3?

"They're just awesome to drive; plenty of room, handle grea,t plus anytime we go to a regular car show, people come to you a tell you their VW stories."
