How long have you owned your Type 3?
"It was my first car and after restoring my wife’s Ghia I was ready for another Squareback. Found it in AZ in a junkyard sitting stripped. I bought it and brought it back to FL. I’ve had it 2 years now."
How would you describe your Type 3?
"Always a project but I drive it 2-3x a day."
What's the furthest place you've traveled to in your Type 3?
"To Tampa about a 2hr drive for an annual car show."
What's the next thing you'd like to do to your Type 3?
"Interior work."
Have you owned more than one Type 3? Do you currently own more than one Type 3?
"I’ve owned 10 different Type3s over the years. Most were stock or lowered a little. I went full air ride & custom with this one. I am a full on Type 3 junkie. Best of all the VWs, IMO. I’ve owned Bugs/Buses/Ghia/etc. I always come back to my Type 3."
What's the best part about owning a Type 3?
"Uniqueness of it. The other common VWs are everywhere and no one really pays much attention to them unless they’re full on restored or custom. You can drive a basic Type 3 and someone will always ask “What is that?”"
