Alternative:
1970 is a one year only switch, you can make #311953513B work if you modify it to fit.
You can splice the wires or you can transfer your plug in connector by soldering the terminals.
Either way it will work, it is the same wires, same switch, only difference is the 1970 was plug n play style.
